Basketball Season 08-09
As random as it is, i have decided to pick up on following basketball this season, NBA and NCAA. I need something to get involved with and cover some free time so why not? I never was into many sports besides Basketball so im going to come back to it and have it occupy my winter this year. The preseason is still in current until the actual season starts on Oct. 28th. I joined a fantasy basketball league with chaz, joe, and a few other people. I also made one for me and the Kingston heads. Hopefully i will get out to a handful of games while im at it. So far im aiming for a 76er's game on my birthday in november. Im even tryin' to set up a trip to Denver to visit the homies and get at a Nuggets game, or an LA trip for a Lakers/Nuggets game with chaz. We'll see what happens. For now i just have to pick up some knowledge on the players again.

Journalism
Lately i have been thinking of maybe doing something in school for Journalism. By no means do i want to be a journalist for a living after school but i would really like to take some classes on it and just learn about it. I don't know where this idea came about but it really seems promising to me. In all reality, i probably won't do anything as a career that i go to college for. I just feel like why go through college by going by the idea of working to get the degree as the key to your career. I would rather enjoy the years i attend college and learn new things that i can use throughout my life then focus on one primary thing that backfires on college kids half the time. I think i just really enjoy learning about all different kinds of things. I'm sure for the rest of my life i will have the mentality of wanting to learn. You can never learn too much, there's always something new and interesting that you had no clue about the moment prior. People have always told me that i always know the most random little things about something unusual and im finally starting to realize that i enjoy that quality. I would not doubt it if i attended college for triple the amount of time the normal person attends college for. The idea of being able to takes classes on so many different things is overwhelming. There is so much to learn and i want to put myself out there and get a taste of everything in my lifetime. In June, i will be moving to northern California to Humboldt County where im going to attend community college for a year to claim residency then transfer over to HSU and i have been planning on taking some courses of wildlife. I think once this move happens it will open many gates for things. I have been reading alot about the "gonzo" way of living proposed by Hunter S. Thompson and i think its taking a toll on me haha.

Straight Edge Revenge?
Lately i have been baffled at people in general conforming to "straight edge". Don't get me wrong, i have nothing but respect for kids that choose to follow this lifestyle. Although, it seems lately that anyone that is involved with the hardcore/punk/indie/etc "scene" that doesn't do drugs or drink feels the need to label themselves as straight edge and join this following. Now im sure that sounds like great news to alot of people considering it means that a larger amount of people are not getting involved with substances that contribute to destroying your health. What does annoy me is that these people go on and off with little spirts smoking cigarettes, or maybe having a drink or getting stoned on occasion every year or so then continue to label themselves as straight edge and make up excuses. You don't HAVE to be apart of that movement just because at the time your not feeling like taking part in these things. Does it really make you that much cooler? Does it get you the points you need to get in with cool exclusive group? Please do the favor of leaving the kids that are passionate of their being and dedicated to what they believe in. Please.
Ps. I'm just waiting for all the kids that cursed out 4/20 to each other as a stupid "holiday" to be making posts on a local forum about EDGE DAY this year. Talk about being a hypocrite. There basically the same holiday just with the tables turned.

Pennsylvania-Colorado-Arizona.
I've finally gotten around to uploading the few photos i took on my month long trip from this summer. I am a little disappointed i was lazy and did not take as much photos as i would of liked to come back with, but i had an awesome time and it really helped what i was going through this summer with everything. I'll post up a few pictures just to briefly explain what had happened on this trip. There were some wild times and i am still siked on this trip.
Here are two pictures from the Ditch Weed field we drove to off of an exit for a town called "Hays" off of 70 west in Kansas. Donny had previously visited the field on the way out to Arizona a year prior. The plants were budding yet with the exception of a few small ones, but it was still awesome to visit this magical patch. Egghead was in pure glory running around like a little kid. If only we had come across this a month later in the harvest season where the plants would of been mature enough to grab some and make some edibles or hash in Denver. OH well.
One night in Denver we were skating the park down the road from Grohol and Klinger's place like usual and Brendan got drunk and decided to pay for everybody to play a round in the batting cages. Talk about convenience, the batting cages were no more than 10 feet away from the park. Everybody was siked and Donny was tearing it up in the advance cage (90-100mph).
Me and Brendan decided to stay longer than we expected in Denver so we can catch Donny's 22nd birthday and celebrate. All week we planned to eat a bunch of mushrooms but really had no luck getting them with a few close calls but no follow through. So the day of his birthday myself, Brendan, and Donny split up with the rest of the crew and decided to go to eat at subway and go back the crib and relax. While eating at Subway Brendan mentioned to the Sandwhich Artist that we had been drinking tequila all day and had no luck finding mushrooms. To our advantage, the dude had a shroom hookup and called up his chick to come by and hook us up. About 2 hours later of waiting outside of subway with even a brief run in with the fine red bull girls, we picked up 15 grams of magic mushrooms which would be ingested by Donny, Brendan, Egghead, and me. We had planned to eat them and go up in the mountains but ended up eating them and waiting for egghead to get back then proceeding to walk to the industrial park where we ended up lost and inside of a schoolbus. The night was wild and when we got back to the house we ended it with watching the late George Carlin all night long and slept it off. All in all, it was a rad time.
For some dumb reason or another, i really did not take many photos in Arizona at all. Even though these few photos i got of this wild beast may make up for that. During the night we were all watching this ridiculously stupid movie called "Mothman" based on the events of sightings of a giant moth in West Virginia. After the movie we went outside to smoke a cigarette due to the muggy-ness of the house where we came across a humungus moth. While me and Cary moved the the front porch like bitchs, Brendan got a bag and caught the motherfucker for further investigations. Don't worry, we let him go after all was done with him.

Uneducated Rednecks.
Recently, i have been overwhelmed with the idiotic remarks from rich kids breeding from my town that drive $30,000 trucks that their mommy and daddy bought them that is covered in confederate flag's and redneck quotes that all of their friends get a kick out of. These kids come and park around the area me and my friends hang out at where they are greatly un-welcomed and come up with the most ridiculous thoughts and ideas about "Niggers" and the election specifically having to do with Barack Obama. Now yes, in America we have a thing called free speech. I can careless what these nimrods are saying but when you are making acusations about an entire race of people off of the one, maybe two african-americans that you have actually gotten to know in your life, it digs under my skin. When asked, one of these kids replied with the responce "Because he's a nigger" to me when i shot the question of "why do you feel Obama should not be elected president". I am the farthest from being politcal, probably because of my age, but with a grade A explanation like that i couldn't not lose my temper. Anyway, what you see to your right is a Natas Kaupas graphic for Real Skateboards from 1990 (drawn up by Natas Kaupas and Kevin Ancell). As a responce to my hatred for the ignorance i have grown up around, i am getting the graphic as my first tattoo next month (November 11th) for my birthday. We'll see what kind of reactions it gets at first....
Fucking Bloggers.
I'm sitting here at exactly 1:39am on Thursday, October 16th 2008 and have caved in to join the oh so hideous "Bloggers". Considering i have made many blogs in my day in which i just got lazy and decided never to update them, i think i am going to keep this one to myself for awhile. Just to write in while im bored and shit talk what im not enjoying at the moment and post random things for my entertainment. Well we'll see where this takes us, no promises like always.....KDJ.
